Mini Tahoma

Mini-Tahoma, 2021
Paint, Landscape Glass, Stainless Steel, LED Lighting.
Approximately 175’x 30′

In an homage to set design, this immersive installation utilizes painted elements, sculpture, lighting, and glass to reimagine the now dry Waterwall as a miniature tribute to Tahoma Glacier, one of the glacial reservoirs that are the basis of our regional abundance.  Drawing allusion to the mountain, known as təqʷuʔbəd or təqʷuʔmaʔ in Southern Lushootseet, Mini-Tahoma playfully reclaims the site for nature, symbolically bringing back the water and linking this man-made edifice to our region’s most iconic natural monument.
